St. Louis has been at the heart of the current conversation on race and social justice. Teams that have stayed with us since the August 9, 2014 shooting of Michael Brown in nearby Ferguson, MO have been invited to join us in this conversation. Oak Hill’s pastor, the Rev. Erin Counihan, offers to lead groups in discussing the events, policies and history of our neighborhood and region, and encourages groups to look into the history, systems, policies and happenings in their hometowns. We are also in the process of building a library of resources for groups to read and reference during their stay at AMEN St. Louis.
